Create Your Meta Tags (Keywords)
Why Do This
  • Your website's title tag, description, and keyword meta tags are "crawled" by the search engine " spiders"
  • If the search engines cannot find your keywords, they cannot find your website.

Step 1 - Write Your Title Tag
  • Write a key phrase, followed by your company name plus 12 to 14 words.
  • Keep total word count under 20.
  • Use long phrases, include the name of your city location, and limit commas to four.
Example Title:
Financial management by Expert Financial Planners Inc. in San Francisco, CA for retirement and estate planning, and life insurance.

Step 2 - Write Your Description Tag
  • Type in about 35 words, using long phrases, up to 4 commas. Avoid repeating the exact phrases used in the title above, but DO INCLUDE the city location again.
Example Description:
Financial advisor service and certified financial planner. Insurance broker for individual and company group benefits in the San Francisco Bay Area. IRA rollover specialist, tax advice, securities, disability insurance, and long term care insurance authorized producer.

Step 3 - Write Your Keywords Tag
  • Type in about 35 words, using long phrases, up to 4 commas. Avoid repeating the exact phrases used used in the title above, but DO INCLUDE the city location again.
Example Keywords:
financial services, securities, san francisco, oakland, berkeley, san mateo, investment management, asset allocation, budgeting, annuities, 401(k), IRA, education saving account, educatipn planning, college tuition planning, college savings, retirement planning, cfa, cfp, certified financial planner, investments, personal finance, tax planning, tax advice, long term care insurance, stock market
